Project Management

Informa takes a classic approach to project management, applying the tried and true steps to managing the development of your undertaking, whatever it may be.  With our years of experience, we have the know-how to design a plan that ensures the project comes in on scope, on time and on budget.

Initiation and Planning

Possibly the most critical phase of project management, we invest maximum time and effort into this phase.  As the saying goes, “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.”  With that always in mind, we identify the scope and timeline of the project, the stakeholders, resources and budget, as well as attempting to identify as many of the unknowns as possible.  This effort is leveraged in order to reduce the amount of risk to you, the client, making sure the next phases go smoothly and that the project is being controlled, rather than have it control you.

Execution, Monitoring, and Controlling

Throughout the Execution and Monitoring & Controlling phases, Informa will constantly be managing these critical areas: Scope

  • Time
  • Cost
  • Quality
  • Resources
  • Communication
  • Risk
Informa always strives to stay within the boundaries of what the project is attempting, that the project is delivered in a timely fashion, within budget, and with the highest possible quality.  At the same time, resource allocation and communication play an integral role.  All of this is undertaken with an eye to mitigating risk for our clients.

Project Closing

Each project should have a beginning, a middle and an end.  The project closing phase includes documenting lessons learned, handing over any and all deliverables, making sure that all payments are made, and an official closeout of the project.  All of this is done with an eye towards making sure the client’s satisfaction is as high as it can be.
